Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc
We recently visited the site and spent a day at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. The luxury hotel is located at the southern tip of the Cap d'Antibes and only 7 miles from Nice in the south of France. This hotel far exceeded our expectations with its elegant setting and impeccable service and amenities. We will definitely be recommending this as a destination for events or a luxe travel location.
We enjoyed extraordinary gourmet cuisine served at the Le Cap restaurant, which has a Michelin Star. We can easily say that it was one of the most exquisite meals we had during our entire visit in the south of France. You can also enjoy Mediterranean dishes at Club Dauphin next to the outdoor pool.

The Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc has a rich and interesting history; originally launched as a writers' retreat in 1870 named the Villa Soleil. Then in 1887, Antoine Sella, a visionary young hotelier from Piedmont, decided to restore the Villa Soleil and turned it into the beautiful Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc.
For many years the hotel remained a winter destination only because, at that time, people considered the Mediterranean Coast an unhealthy place to spend the summer. Despite this, Antoine went ahead with plans to prepare for summer guests and used dynamite to carve out the natural basalt rock seawater swimming pool. Created and maintained by true artisans, this exclusive sanctuary captivates the most discerning of hotel guests.
Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc remained a place of inspiration for famous writers like Nobel Laureate George Bernard Shaw, who was a frequent and loyal guest. The Duke and Duchess of Windsor were also regular guests as was Pablo Picasso, Rita Hayworth and Marc Chagall.
In 2007, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc began a 7-year restoration that continues today. The project upgrades key features on the property while protecting the hotel's rich history. Overseen by Mrs. Oetker and architect Luc Svetchine, the multi-million euro restoration has created incredible upgrades and revitalised the Eden-Roc Grill.
