Artist Frida Kahlo will appear on the cover of  Vogue  for the first time ever. Almost 60 years after her death, the photo of Frida, taken by photographer Nickolas Muray in 1939, will appear on the cover of Vogue Mexico ’s November 2012 issue. The magazine will hit newsstands just before the November 22 nd opening of   “ Appearances Can Be Deceiving: The Dresses of Frida Kahlo” at the Frida Kahlo Museum in Mexico City .  Frida Kahlo did appear once in the pages of U.S. Vogue , in the October, 1937 edition; but this is her first time on the iconic magazine’s cover. EPI Creates Floral Art For The Sexy Beast Gala and Art Auction

A gala evening of art auction, revelry and performance - Sexy Beast celebrates the art world's power to effect positive change, touch peoples' lives, and create value far beyond commercial gain.  We wanted  to highlight that artistry comes in many forms, in this case floral art by EPI. The Gala was held at the Ace Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.  The historical theatre is extremely ornate, with its' opulent gothic revival and early Art Deco influences.  Our florals needed to enhance, not compete with the interior architecture. White Callas Lilies were arranged in a dramatic and visually stunning display Phalaenopsis Orchids  along with fuchsia roses, horse tail and tall bear grass accents brightened the deco inspired Ladies' dressing room.  The pop of color bounced off the mirrors and created a cheery area in a somewhat dark space.  Orchids and roses set the cocktails tables and added to the ec...

Introducing "Greenery", Pantone, the self-professed "Color Institute", declares at the 2017 "Color of the Year". So, w hat exactly is a "Color of the Year"? Since 2000, Pantone has chosen a specific color and hue (in this case " Pantone 15-0343") as a "symbolic color selection" or rather a "snapshot of what we see taking place in our global culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude". After last year's 2016 colors of the year, "Rose Quartz" and "Serenity", "Greenery" comes as a fresh and revitalizing tone for the year - symbolizing an energetic new beginning.
