Here's a little spiked punch recipe for your New Year parties! In a pitcher, stir together 8 cups cranberry juice, 4 cups currant flavored vodka, 1 cup club soda, 1 cup ginger ale and 1/2 cup Rose's Lime Juice. Pour over cherry ice cubes, (put maraschino cherries with stems in ice trays, fill with water and freeze) placed in a silver bowl for guests to help themselves! Bright Table

Image
We came across this bright and cheery table setting over at DesignLoveFest by the fabulous Bri Emery.  The event was for BlogShop - a workshop to show folks how to enhance their blogs through design and photography. We just love the ease of it and the fun energy it has, I mean, grilled cheese sandwiches?! Love!  It would be so fun to take a que from their set-up and have a little lunch get-together with natural linens and pops of pink for centerpieces!  We'll file this away for spring or summer...

Holiday Soiree

Take a que from Mrs.Lilien and jazz up your Holiday party! Sometimes, all you really need is a little bit of tinsel and a good drink-it's really all about those you love this time of year. So invite your nearest and dearest over and celebrate!

Coral Christmas

Image
Whether by the coast this Holiday Season or simply wishing for it, our President and Creative Director, Lili Shadab, has the perfect look for an elegant coastal Christmas this season. “Being in Southern California, I’m naturally drawn to shells, coral and the ocean’s elements. That was our starting point for this Holiday look. Christmas can so easily become bogged down with greens and reds, which can be beautiful but in this case, we relied on white for our foundation. White is bright, chic and very special which makes it perfect for this winter dinner party. We allowed white to be a base through lots of white coral, shells and gorgeous white containers for the centerpiece. From there, we layered with lots of lovely gold and red accents. “For the table settings, we used these lovely white and red patterned plates and gold-plated glass ware – along with a shot of gold flaked schnapps for each guest to enjoy! Another option for your plates is using whatever white plate ware you h...

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!

Image
My family went to pick out a Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving, we kick it old school and get a traditional tree to decorate with all the ornaments my siblings and I made through the years.  But if you're not into the traditional Christmas tree, we've rounded up some fun and funky ideas for you to try out. If you're working with a small apartment or house a two-dimensional Christmas tree on your wall is a great space-saver! Or if you have the room but just want to try something different the more sculptural options that require a little bit more room could be great for you. We hope you have fun decorating your tree no matter what kind of tree you end up with!

Veggies as Centerpieces

Image
Growing up, you don't always love vegetables-you may not even enjoy them now-but that no reason not to have some around the house! Veggies can make really stunning centerpieces and arrangements, just take a look at these inspiration photos to get some ideas... As you can see, it can be as simple as putting an artichoke in a glass vase or as complicated as creating an entire arrangement out of various vegetables-choose your own adventure :)

Tim Tam Slam!

Image
I'm not sure how many of you have ever had the chance to experience the chocolatey goodness of a Tim Tam slam, but for those of you who have not-you're in for a real treat! You ready for this??  Here we go...Step One: Grab some Tim Tams (they are sometimes difficult to find but my local Target has them and Cost Plus World Market has them occasionally). Step Two: Make yourself a delicious hot beverage such as coffee or hot chocolate.  Step Three: Bite off the corners of the Tim Tam diagonal from each other.  Step Four: Dip one corner of the Tim Tam into your beverage and suck the liquid up through the Tim Tam from the diagonal corner you chomped off in step three.  Step Five: You will feel the cookie start to collapse and melt as the drink runs up through it, at this point stuff the whole cookie in your mouth before it completely falls apart and enjoy the amazing gooey chocolate party that will happen in your mouth. It can take a cookie or two t...
