The 5th Annual Canstruction Orange County Awards & Fundraising Gala was a huge success! Twenty teams participated in Canstruction this year and helped to send over 80,000 cans of food to the Orange County Food Bank . The gala was an evening of good food, drinks, entertainment, raffle drawings, special guests, a silent auction and the awards presentation. Orange County's best architects, engineers, community groups and students gathered to celebrate the amazing canned art structures they designed and built and to give generously to the  Orange County Food Bank . We are thrilled to be designing and producing the St. Mary Medical Center Foundation ’s 21 st Annual Gala on Saturday, September 22. We’ve been producing this event for over seven years now and we think this will be the best year ever for this incredible charity event benefiting St. Joseph Health and St. Mary Victorville . 100 years ago, nine sisters arrived in Eureka, California with only 60 cents and a place to stay. These women became the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange . In 1920, they opened St. Joseph Hospital to care for Eureka residents. Today, they continued their mission, providing high quality care to thousands in the High Desert. Each year we transform a raw barn space at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds into an elegant and chic environment in the middle of the High Desert for this amazing event. Canstruction Orange County  is holding it's 5th annual Design-Build Competition on September 1-23 to benefit the Orange County Food Bank.  Canstruction  is a charity committed to ending world hunger. It's an international community service project by the design & construction industry to benefit local food banks where teams of architects, engineers, designers, contractors and/or those professionals mentoring students, associations or business compete by designing and building structures made entirely out of canned foods. Here are three of the sculptures that are already finished for this year: Companies and organizations, with the help of sponsors like the Orange County Chapters of AIA , SDA and SMPS, the Festival of Children Foundation , and event benefactor, the Orange County Food Bank create amazing work each year.
