2012 Women in Business Awards

We're excited (and honored) to be nominated and attend the Orange County Business Journal 2012 Women in Business Awards tomorrow at the Hyatt Regency in Irvine. We're looking forward to hearing Kimberly Cripe speak tomorrow. She's the President and CEO of CHOC Children's Hospital, one of the top pediatric healthcare systems in the nation. Kimberly's done amazing work for CHOC, which was one of only eight children's hospitals in the country to be named to the Leapfrog Group's "Top Hospitals 2007" list and was the only hospital in California to earn the Silver level CAPE (California Awards for Performance Excellence) Award from the California Council for Excellence.

Artist Frida Kahlo will appear on the cover of  Vogue  for the first time ever. Almost 60 years after her death, the photo of Frida, taken by photographer Nickolas Muray in 1939, will appear on the cover of Vogue Mexico ’s November 2012 issue. The magazine will hit newsstands just before the November 22 nd opening of   “ Appearances Can Be Deceiving: The Dresses of Frida Kahlo” at the Frida Kahlo Museum in Mexico City .  Frida Kahlo did appear once in the pages of U.S. Vogue , in the October, 1937 edition; but this is her first time on the iconic magazine’s cover.
