Spring Brings Bridal and Baby Shower Inspiration

April showers bring May Day Flowers – that’s for sure, but another thing that pops up in the spring are Bridal and Baby Showers. Of course, any month is perfect for a shower and you can make it more memorable with a fitting theme. Tailor the theme to fit the honorees hobbies, favorite colors or anything else that might customize the event.  We adore both brides and babies and we wanted to share some trends we’ve noticed, as well as share some of our very own bride and baby ideas.

The theme of one of our Baby Shower event was Beautiful Baby Girl! We used soft to bright pink flowers along with white blooms, blush colored linens with a hint of shine that enhanced the feminine setting.  Bows were abound from the bear to the bulldog.  Jewels sparkled as they were hung in areas that reflected the light and roses appeared to float among the twinkle and glow - perfect for the girly girl on the way!

Don’t forget dad!  Having an "Men Only" shower creates a party setting that he will love and it allows the guys to be included in their own get together. Manly decor can be so fun and creative.  This shower allows everyone to enjoy some relaxation before Daddy Duties begin!

For the outdoorsy bride – We'd take the party outside, with a Garden Party Shower. Complete with vintage accents like cutlery, plates and glasses.

What better way to celebrate a bride and grooms love than with a Couples Valentines Day Shower!  Hot pinks and red-hot reds can infuse major color into the special day. Use touches of sparkle to keep the bright colors bouncing.

From brightest brights to almost white - we love the idea of a white a baby shower, especially for a Gender Reveal Party! What better way to announce the baby’s gender than a pink or blue confetti blast, decorated cake or balloon release?

In the spirit of inclusiveness and knowing the Bride and Groom’s interests is a great way to theme a shower. Co-ed showers themed with a beach, nautical or sailing theme is a wonderful way to honor the couple.  Gifts can also reflect the couple’s love of the sand and sea.

After everyone has recovered and rested, a Sip and See party is a fabulous way to toast the parents and get a first glimpse of the baby. Guests enjoy a mini version of a baby shower – small bites and libations are a fun and different way to welcome baby.

A Honeymoon inspired shower allows for theme of the party to be dictated by the Honeymoon destination. Here, a Bali theme embraces all things Zen and peaceful. This is a beautiful way to keep the Bride in serene and calm place before the nuptials.

Be it Brides or Babies, here at EPI we love them both!

Here are a few more ideas for Bridal showers - A couple’s shower that has a Wine Tasting or Stock the Bar theme, - where guests bring items to help the couple stock their cellar or bar collections. A destination shower is a nice get away – like a Spa day, High Tea or a Slumber Party. More themes for Baby Showers include Storytime, where guests bring books in place of greeting cards, Go Green – with eco-friendly gifts or travel oriented ones for those parents and babies on the go.

Don't forget - we are here to help.  Contact us so that we can help make your next event as fabulous as you are!
